"It is timely to bring about a radical change in the way we treat women...this will require a radical new approach, treating women holistically and individually – a woman-centred approach." Corston 2007

A problem not shared is a problem doubled – you can talk to us.
ISIS provides a wide range of community based support services to women who have been involved in the criminal justice system. Our clients are women who:
- Are at risk of offending
- Have offended
- May have received a custodial sentence, court or police bail
- Are on community orders
- Have been released following custodial sentences.
ISIS aims to tackle what lies beneath the root causes of offending behaviour - not just the symptoms. Our priority is to divert women away from custody and social exclusion; towards community inclusion and participation.
Working closely in partnership with Gloucestershire criminal justice agencies, we offer women a package of holistic support services tailored to their specific needs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Women aged 18+ with complex, unmet needs relating to their offending, evidenced by assessed needs across the "Nine Pathways".
- Women referred by the criminal justice agencies, identified at risk of re/offending.
- Women who live within/are returning from custody to Gloucestershire, and
- Have some motivation to address offending behaviour.
Exclusion Criteria
- Women who have committed sexual offences against children are not eligible for day programmes. However, they can access outreach services.
- Women intoxicated by alcohol or drugs cannot attend until the following day.
- Women experiencing acute mental health crisis (eg psychotic episodes).
- Women who pose a high risk of violence to our staff or clients.
